How to watch your favourite TV Shows on your PSP?

Watching your favorite TV shows on the go just got easier now that PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) users can transfer content from a TiVo digital video recorder to a PSP system. After announcing an initial test in November, TiVo has made transfers to a PSP system available to all TiVo® Series2™ subscribers via an updated TiVoToGo™ feature.

PSP® users can now benefit from the convenience of TiVoToGo to catch up on sports, sitcoms, and other TV programming wherever, whenever they want. With the PSP system’s 4.3-inch widescreen, high-resolution TFT display, portable TV has never looked so good. The PSP system’s display technology is capable of delivering 16.8 million colors on a brilliant LCD screen.

The enhanced TiVoToGo offers automatic transfers and conversions so TV programs recorded the night before can be synced and waiting for you on your PSP system the next morning.

How it works?
TiVoToGo requires a TiVo Series2 box connected to a Windows PC or laptop through a home network. To convert recorded content for viewing on a PSP system, TiVo offers an upgraded version of its TiVo Desktop software for $24.95. The software provides unlimited conversions and an easy, step-by-step process for transferring TV programs from a TiVo to a PC, and then syncing with a connected PSP system.

Future of PSP?

A new PSP isn't likely to come any time soon. However, that hasn't stopped this designer, BluezPS, from making his own concept design. We have to admit, this is really quite attractive. When closed, the unit looks very iPhone-esque, with a sexy PlayStation button that would act like the PSP's "Home" button.

When slid open, the unit reveals a D-Pad, two analog nubs, and the face buttons -- all in a super-slim case. We know it isn't real, but we want it!, although the design is somewhat impractical....Its still preety sweet looking anyway. Perhaps, the next generation of PSP will look something like this.

How to play PSone games on PSP

There are few reasons that why PSP is not selling in those magnitudes, which it was thought to be.
But the main reason behind this is high UMD prices, which acts as a main deterrent in buying it & even if someone buys it, He/She is not able to play many games on the PSP because of high prices of UMDs.
But now there is a way to counter this problem by applying the old saying:

"OLD IS GOLD"

Now,you can easily play your PS1 games on your PSP by converting them in a PSP-friendly format, which is a called EBOOT.
Here's how it can be done:

Firstly you'll need the following softwares:

1.IsoBuster (http://www.isobuster.com/) (FREE)
2.PSX2PSP v.1.2 - PopStation GUI (http://www.exophase.com/files/psp/psx2psp v.1.2.zip)
Before we can begin you must install IsoBuster and PSX2PSP.

The first time you launch IsoBuster it will prompt you to register. I recommend using the "Free funct. only" since it provides the reliable ISO ripping you need.
The first time you launch PSX2PSP it will prompt you to select a mode. I recommend using Theme Mode as it allows you to preview the results of your custom EBOOT menu.
To begin converting PSone games to PSP you must first extract the ISO to your PC.

How to extract the ISO?
Insert the CD of your PSX game into your PC. In IsoBuster you will see the the session(s), track(s) and file-systems of your disc.Right-click the CD listing at the top of the tree on the left and choose Extract CD <> RAW (*.bin, *.iso). It will ask where to save the BIN and after the extraction where to save the CUE.For the BIN file to work with PSX2PSP you must add .iso to the end of the generic BIN file that IsoBuster created.

How to convert the ISO into EBOOT?
In Theme Mode of PSX2PSP open the Convert Menu. Under ISO/PBP File navigate to where you saved your ISO. PSX2PSP should automatically fill in the Game and Save titles and IDs.(NOTE: If you are converting a multi-disc game make sure you use the same Save ID on each discs EBOOT.)
Under Output PBP folder navigate to where you want your EBOOT.PBP to be saved after conversion. From here if you do not wish to customize the EBOOT.PBP menu you can click the Convert button and your playable EBOOT will be created.
But before starting the conversion, click the Options menu, then open the Patches tab, select all available fixes, click Save, and then click on the Apply Patches checkbox,so that patches can be applied.
Hit the Convert button & on the Convert Menu.
Now copy your completed game folder to your PSP memory stick under X:\PSP\Game\
You are now able to play your favorite PSone game on your PSP!

I hope every die hard fan of those PS1 games w'd find this post useful.

How To Install Games From The Internet Onto Your PSP

People who have computers and are connected to the internet can easily download and install different kinds of games from the internet for use on portable gaming units.
These games come in many different choices and genres for your gaming pleasure and can either be free games or games you have to purchase to be able to download them. The choices in games you have for download and installation on your computer then to your PSP actually covers quite a huge spectrum of game types.
What You Need?
You will need a few things before you can get started. Aside from your PC and an internet connection, you will need a memory stick that is compatible with your PSP and a PSP unit that has firmware version 1.0 or version 1.5. What To DoOnce you have your PSP and your memory stick ready, you can begin downloading your game of choice onto your PC.
1. To make sure that the game you are downloading can be used on your PSP, try to check for firmware compatibility with your PSP's firmware version. Homebrew games are usually compatible with firmware versions that are either 1.0 or 1.5. Any firmware versions beyond that are usually incompatible with Homebrew games. After you have downloaded the game on your PC, double check to see that the game you downloaded is compatible with your psp.
2. After you have downloaded the game file you want for your PS, you will need to check if it is in a compressed form. You will then need to unzip it or uncompress it for upload to your PSP.
3. Connect your PSP to your PC with the use of its USB cable. This cable comes with the unit upon purchase. Make sure your memory card is in your PS before you connect.
4. You will then need to copy the game to your PSP and save it in the proper game folders on your PSP. You need to remember that your memory stick needs to have a PSP folder with a GAMES folder in it where you must place your game files in for it to run properly on your PSP. You will then need to copy all the files of the game for your PSP into the GAMES folder inside the PSP folder of your PSP unit.
5. Disconnect your unit from your PC and check your PSP for the files you just copied. It should be in the memory stick option. The games should be listed on the games list of the memory card. You can then scroll down to the game you just installed and play it till your heart's content.
